My Excursion to the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

This morning mummy woke me up from my morning nap at 10.15am so that we could go to the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden with auntie angeline and elijah, and auntie amelia and zac.

Auntie amelia drove over to our house to pick all of us up. I will describe the complex procedure (henceforth referred to as Operation Troublesome) that ensued. First, auntie amelia opens the boot. Then she gets out of the car so that mummy can pass me over to her. (Zac's in his carseat already). Then mummy will take off her backpack and put it in the backseat of the car. After that she will close up the pram and heave it into the boot (which already had zac's and natalie's pram - oh, i forgot, natalie came with us too). Then auntie amelia passes me back to mummy and auntie angeline passes elijah to auntie amelia. Auntie angeline will put her bag into the front seat of the car. Then she closes elijah's pram and tries to stuff it into the poor car boot. Then all of us will finally get into the car, belt up and go. (When we get out of the car, everything just happens in reverse- that's called Operation Troublesome Too).

Anyway, we all get to the Garden but there wasn't any more parking lots in the main carpark so auntie amelia had to parallel park. After more than 5 tries (i only can count to 5), auntie amelia said that she dun care anymore and will just park the car even though it was out of the lot (but it was just a little; i think if it was mummy, our car will get towed away). Operation Troublesome Too ensued.

So all of us trudged into the Garden in the blazing heat. With furrowed brows (me), flowing streams of perspiration (Elijah) and calls to be carried (Zac, towards the end), we lasted all of 30mins. Then we trudged back to the car. Operation Troublesome.

Then we drove to a really nice (meaning air-conditioned) cafe for lunch. (oh, of course we carried out Operation Troublesome Too when we disembarked). I demanded loudly for my lunch which mummy quickly fed me but i was still hungry so she shove a breadstick into my hand which i happily gnawed at for the rest of the time. Elijah on the other hand was not too hungry and didn't want to eat (I wanted to help him out with it but i dun think mummy thinks it polite to do so). Zac also didn't really finish his lunch. Anyway, i think our mummies had a relatively good time (in view of the circumstances) even though the photos didn't really show it.

After lunch, we got back into the car (Operation Troublesome) and auntie amelia drove all of us back to our place to drop us (Operation Troublesome Too).

I overheard mummy saying that even though everything only occurred in a span of 3 hours, it felt much longer.

Anyway, here' s the best shot that mummy took of all of us today.

Hahaha it sure sounded troublesome going out with all the babies! Erm, but what on earth is the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden all about? Hmm all I read about was Operation Troublesome! :)

but that's all i could remember angeline. heh... :)

oh, it's a really quaint place just for kids at the botanic garden. It has a treehouse, a waterplay area, a wobbly bridge and more. It has been around for quite a long time already. You can read about it online. :)
